候補者ウェブサイトについての数量分析 : 2005年衆院選データを用いて Quantitative Analysis of Candidates' Websites Using Data from the 2005 House of Representatives' Election of Japan 00268327 岡本, 哲和 関西大学 Kansai University application/pdf 本稿の目的は，2005年9月に行われた第42回衆議院選挙のデータを用いて，候補者によるウェブサイトの開設とその内容に影響を及ぼす要因を，数量分析によって検証することにある．ウェブサイトの内容については，インターネットの4つの機能，すなわち，（1）相互作用性（2）情報提供（3）プレゼンテーション（4）アクセスの容易性に基づいて，その洗練度を測る指標を作成した．サイトの洗練度を従属変数としたTobitによる分析によって，日本においてもいわゆる「通常化」の現象がサイバースペースにおいて進行していること，そして選挙制度が候補者による情報発信行動に影響を及ぼしていることを明らかにする． This paper examined what types of website candidates are putting up and what factors affect the contents of their websites using data from the Japanese Lower House election held in September 2005. Producing an index to measure the degree of sophisticated-ness of each website drawing on the following components: (1) interactivity (2) information provision (3) presentation and (4) accessibility, I employed the Tobit model as a statistical model to estimate the impact of various factors, including party affiliation, incumbency, candidacy type, and the socioeconomic status of the candidates, on the sophistication of the their websites. My findings offer some important insights into Japanese candidates' use of websites. First, it is suggested that a normalization process is occurring in Japan.
