| 内容記述 | This article analyzes the reason why Japan has not escaped economic stagnation since the collapse of the bubble economy at the beginning of the 1990s. In its first section, we show that the middle class was formed through an egalitarian income distribution system after World War II and that the consumption of the middle class made rapid economic growth possible. However, this pattern of economic growth gradually disappeared in the 1990s, and the disparity of income distribution increased, which is the main reason of Japan's economic stagnation. We also point out that the propensity to consume of the wealthy is relatively small in Japan, making stagnation more serious. In the last section, we examine the Abenomics and demonstrate that it will not be effective, unless the problem of the income disparity is solved. | |||||

| 内容記述 | この論文では、1990年代はじめのバブル経済の崩壊以降、20年以上にわたって、なぜ日本経済が停滞から脱出できないのかを分析する。はじめに、第2次大戦後に、日本の平等主義的な経済システムによって中産階級が形成され、その活発な消費によって、日本経済が成長してきたことをみていく。しかし、1990年代からは、そのような経済成長のパターンが次第に消失していき、所得格差が拡大し、中産階級は縮小していった。それが日本の経済停滞の主要な原因である。さらに、日本では富裕層の消費性向が低く、そのことが日本の経済停滞をより深刻なものにしている。論文の最後に、現在行われているアベノミクスの有効性を検証し、所得格差の解消なしには、それがうまく機能しないことをみていく。 | |||||
