| 内容記述 | We find that the unemployment rate usually increases in recession periods and that these increases remain in the early periods of recovery. The unemployment rate exhibits two types of behaviors. The behavior wherein the unemployment rate continuously increases during recovery, and during expansion, is unusual and irrationaly. I suppose that this is caused by a sequence of deregulation of the labor market in Japan-in particular, institutional reforms of employment protections. In this note, I examine some models regarding employment protections. These show that alleviating employment protections raises real wages and even the unemployment rate. 景気後退期には、通常、失業率は上昇し、回復期に入ってしばらくして、下落し始める。しかし、十分下落する場合と、全く下がらず、かえって上昇する場合がある。このような差異をもたらす要因はいろいろ挙げられようが、労働市場の規制緩和、特に、雇用保護の制度変更が重要な要因であろう。本稿では，雇用保護を取り扱ういくつかのモデルを紹介する。それらの結果は，雇用保護の緩和が実質賃金を上げるが、失業率をかえって上げそうであることを示している。 |
