| 内容記述 | Shusaku Arakawa (1936-2010) is a contemporary artist who has actively explored the fundamental notion of reversible destiny with his partner Madeline Gins.” Arakawa worked on sculptures and paintings before presenting architectural works since the 1990s. Arakawa thought that it would be possible to actualize a reversible destiny through architecture that invalidates mortality. The reversible destiny lofts Mitaka constructed for residential use represent Arakawa’s architectural works. This paper contemplates the double nature of the door of the house. The first is the physical door which anyone can enter. The second is an invisible door that cannot be opened unless appropriately utilized. This paper opines that this second door must be opened for Arakawa’s architectural works to approach the realization of his conception of reversible destiny. A key may be found in the directions for use devised by Arakawa and Gins. It is contemplated in this paper that other such keys exist. The authors examine Alexander Lowen’s bioenergy theory of bioenergetics and delve into the concept of grounding for clues to another key. It employs this perspective to reflect on a key to open the second door that is different from the stated directions for use. | |||||
