| 内容記述 | The exchange between Japan and China during the Edo period was centered on Nagasaki. This exchange continued until the end of the Edo period. It was facilitated by the cargo trade brought by the so-called Chinese ships that docked in Nagasaki from China. Some of the Chuanzhu (supercargo Chinese Junk merchants) and the crew members of the Chinese Junks were familiar with Chinese calligraphy, and some Japanese liked their calligraphy. This study describes a part of the acceptance of Japanese calligraphy by the handwriting of the Chuanzhu [Editor17]who visited Nagasaki during the Edo period, which has been explored so far. | |||||
